You’ve probably seen a few Porsches, Mercedes, BMW’s-- maybe even a couple Lamborghini’s or Maseratis driving around Sacramento. I know I have. A lot of them get serviced at Stewart’s Automotive just a wee bit outside of midtown. Stewart's Automotive of Sacramento specializes in "the service and maintenance of LAND ROVER, JAGUAR, LAMBORGHINI, FERRARI, MASERATI, BENTLEY, ASTON MARTIN and other late-model exotics."

I had the fantastic opportunity to talk with Stewart Rosen about his local business and in the process, video a Lamborghini Aventador in matte black and an extremely rare Porsche Carrera GT, perhaps the rarest in the world because it’s painted in a Lamborghini metallic orange. The cars were perfection, smooth lines, and the picture of elegance even as they sat in the garage waiting for speed.

The Aventador LP 700-4 rocks a V12 for 700 horsepower and 0-60mph in just 2.9 seconds. It really belongs on track to show off its capabilities, or with a radar detection system, any stretch of open road you can find.

The Porsche Carrera GT features a V10 with 612 horse power and 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds. Sports Car International named the Carrera GT number 1 on its list of Top Sports Cars of the 2000s.

While I didn't get to test drive these cars I did have the pleasure of hearing them roar as we moved them around the shop for the photos and video. They are loud and bring up feelings of aggressive racing and a visceral need for speed.

Stewart's Automotive is emblematic of Sacramento over the last few decades. Stewart's has grown in scope and scale, not only exponentially but elegantly, since its establishment in 1992. Check out their website at or like them on Facebook.
